Holiday Home in The Yorkshire Dales
The Cowshed is a 2 bedroom holiday home providing luxury holiday accommodation, with fully fitted handmade kitchen, bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, full central heating and large living area with a wood burning stove.
The bedrooms have super king or twin beds, or a combination of both. Rental includes bed linen, towels and toiletries. A welcome basket is provided.
Outside is a small south facing garden with wonderful views over the dale. Car parking is provided.
The Cowshed is part of Holme Farm, the farmhouse and cowshed both being built in 1653, the oldest buildings in the village of Lofthouse. Holme Farm was built with a loft area for wool drying, hence the village being named Lofthouse. Holme Farm was originally a Friary occupied by lay monks working the lucrative wool industry in the Yorkshire Dales, and owned by Fountains Abbey.

What to do, where to go.
The Cowshed is situated in the picturesque and quiet village of Lofthouse, at the top of beautiful Nidderdale. The local pub is a short walking distance from the accommodation and provides wholesome food and a warm friendly atmosphere.
Beyond Lofthouse there are the villages of Ramsgill with its Michelin starred restaurant, Middlesmoor with a good pub, and the market towns of Pateley Bridge, and Masham nearby.Harrogate with its chic shopping, cafes and restaurants, and the city of Ripon are less than an hours drive away.The area around Lofthouse has numerous scenic footpaths, the Nidderdale Way and 2 other long distance paths passing close by.
The National Trust attractions of Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks are worth a visit.
Further afield the Yorkshire Dales offer a wealth of interesting places to visit.
